Town & Village Regeneration plans are borne out of data driven collaborative processes that have engaged communities with representation at every age group.
The 2 stage- Town/Village Health Check and Regeneration plan ensures democratic process while inspiring businesses and community groups to find that catalyst project/projects that can revive and reinvigorate their place. Government policy has led the way with ‘Town Centre First’ supported with URDF and RRDF funding.
The process of surveys , workshops and studies is detailed enough to ensure all decision making is data driven, bringing realism but opening minds to various solutions that may not previously have been considered. People are the beating heart and making sure they feel attracted to, and comfortable in, their town or village as families, as individuals of all ages and as businesses is priority.
Ensuring the existing built environment is respected in terms of its heritage and character ensures that site specific recommendations are unique to that place. In-the -round and holistic thinking helps us to respond to the myriad of needs and wishes an urban place must provide for.
We have worked with some incredible voluntary /community groups whose knowledge and hard work has driven and contributed hugely to these plans, we look forward to seeing some of these catalyst projects take off!
